Problem
SportyStars came to me after trying a few different designers without quite finding the right fit. They had a huge wishlist of ideas and wanted something bright, fun and energetic for the children, but it also had to work across green, yellow and black sports kit without becoming too busy.

Solution
The real job was finding the happy medium. I pulled the ideas back into something more focused, balancing playful type and hand-drawn stars with a richer green so the yellow still had plenty of punch. I also made sure the identity could work properly in day-to-day use, with a standalone badge, a flexible logotype and versions that would hold up across kit, lanyards and smaller spaces.

Result
What came out of it was a brand with bags of personality, but much more control behind it. It was easier to use, easier to keep consistent and flexible enough to work across the places the client actually needed it. SportyStars ultimately launched with a different concept, but this was the direction I felt solved the brief most completely.
